PAL is a nonprofit organization that provides Southern Nevada youth with athletic, academic, recreational and community service activity with the help of volunteer police officers and other caring community members. PAL recognizes that trusted relationships between law enforcement and at-risk youth reduces criminal activity and fosters self-fulfillment and civic responsibility.

The mission of PAL of Southern Nevada is "to provide area youth with positive alternatives through athletics, education and community." All PAL of Southern Nevada program sites provide safe havens in which to meet, play and learn for hundreds of youth ages 6 to 17.
All PAL programs involve local law enforcement as coaches, instructors, mentors, and role models. Police employee involvement helps promote a positive view of law enforcement and leads to life changing attitudes and relationships. PAL programs are made available completely free of charge and are offered year round.
